Apple Varieties in Maine is the first time Fredrick Charles Bradford's 1911 masters thesis will be available unamended. This text has become increasingly relevant with the interest in heirloom apples in the past several decades. This book contains over 600 known cultivars which were grown in Maine from the 1700s to early 1900s. It is a snapshot of orcharding at its peak of cultivar diversity. We hope this beautiful new limited edition published in the fall of 2021 will inspire a new generation of apple growers and fruit explorers.
